We are building a house!

When Kevin and I bought our current house, we never imagined we would have twins. We thought we would live in this house for quite awhile... but now with the boys here, we are quickly running out of room!

Around September, my mom said she would watch the boys so we could have a day off by ourselves. We were just going to run some errands and get lunch without having to pull out the stroller and all that stuff. As we were running errands, we saw a sign for an open house with a builder called Meritage. We stopped in  just for fun and absolutely fell in love with the house. We began the financing process and got turned down for the amount needed to build in Euless. We decided to look on the internet and find a Meritage neighborhood somewhere else. We found one in Roanoke and went out there to see their model. We decided to build the same house as their model and started the finance process again... again turned down. We started getting a little frustrated, but decided to look around at other builders. We stopped in at a DR Horton neighborhood and again fell in love with their model. The sales guy, Bobby, is awesome and immediately got us in touch with their finance company, and... we got approved!!! We have a little work to do on our credit, but they are going to work with us during the building process.  Last week, we picked out our lot! We are so excited to be building a bigger house! It is 4 bedrooms with a gameroom upstairs, total of 2400 square feet!!! We have already met with a realtor to begin putting our house on the market, and next week we pick out the exterior colors and as soon as we get the building permit, we get to pick out the interior stuff!! As you can see, it is a huge corner lot with beautiful views! We are so excited!!
